One thing that you can rule out, for a start, is that the cause could be something along the lines of a multiplayer server that you are using. I rebuilt fsx.cfg and it finally opened to the menu but after a few seconds the fatal error occurred again.. Does it matter if it's an older version for XP, Vista or Windows 7 ?
