But was just curious as to if I'm doing something wrong right out of the gates? In all of the above, I constructed flight plans w/n FSX and had no problems accessing them during flight (this is where I would usually freeze up and CTD. Instead, put it in the FSX folder and see if it helps. Installed the direct.x present in the disk (the 9) apart from the boot screen it freezes and crashes immediately . I was able to restart the game and finished the flight successfully. Ramoonus There is a problem with Windows 7 and Flight simulator X togheter. I also read about other approaches, deleting the DLL in several directories, causing other apps to stop running, but this fix is the most simple and most effective without negative side-effects
