Hi there! I tried the emacs thing, took two days just to figure out how to install it. In my case the specifics of the error (on the off chance that it helps) are as follows: Read-Error. When I try to open content.xml in browser, it said: XML Parsing Error: mismatched tag.
It is worth mentioning that updating the content.xml to the ods file wasn't successful in Mac OS X. I'm seriously at a loss at how to fix this, and if you could help me out I wouldn't even know what to say... If it is not true for you, it isn't true. Eventually managed to find someone savvier than me (not that hard really) and got it fixed. It reads: Read-Error.
Removing the duplication and putting back the content.xml file in the ods file using a zip utility fixed the problem.
