Or is it not showing as a drive yet? This is a huge problem. I am using the original restore dvd of windows xp. I have windows 2000 and the problem is after so long coping i get an Error message saying A:/GHOSTERR.TXT I press ok and get another error saying Cannot open Ghosterr.TXT insert http://www.symantec.com/connect/forums/output-error-file-following-location-aghosterrtxt

Now if there was a cmd line code to disable error reports all together then the problem would be solved. Also try using smartdrive with a 2mb cache it helps ghost quite a bit. I can turn it off. However it won't help if you have a HD weak sector error or other error norton ghost does not like. There was one huge problem. The ghost program appeared to be working until it got about 95% completed, and then it came up with a file name? It just had That white blinking Underscore. If I try to do anything, I get an error message saying "Cannot open Ghosterr.text - insert diskette (434). The status bar goes to about 27% and then it doesn't responds and displays the same message. Seems you are using ghost.
