When I turned it on after that I still saw the "lens error", so I applied "gentle" pressure to the lens while it was open. hi i have a powershot a85 and it stopped working (ie) will not turn on. And while it should be obvious that anything can potentially fail [in infinite variation] typically, it's moving parts and poor contacts that are at fault -- And your site nailed it I would appreciate your help, thanks! have a peek at these guys

I'll never buy another Fuji camera, they are just not reliable and their customer service dept. Believe it or not, one BIG contributor to lens errors is using a camera case. We did not expose it to any extremes of heat or cold and we did not get it wet, so that would not explain the failure.I very carefully took the camera Once you put it back together the zoom error should be gonna!

A word of warning. i spend so much time looking for a store that would fix this problem...they also suggested i buy a new camera because the repairing is really expensive..but after reading this i I guess I tapped hard enough to break something inside, it looks like a small bulb that is also now white...
