It was a camera about to go in the bin and is now resurected. After that I started the camera and shut down it and all things okay. What I did was turn on the camera, allow the lens to extend, grabbed the lens casing when it attempted to close. Fujifilm Finepix S1500 Zoom Error You're amazing and I'm so grateful. Turn off the camera and restart it to see if the lens error has gone away. I couldn't believe it I fixed my camera.

After gently but firmly tapping the A/V out corner of the camera 4 or 5 times it works like a charm again.THANK YOU VERY MUCH! I opened her up and got to the rotating barrel to find that the positioning grooves had worn through in 2 places and the thing got caught up on that.
