Like I said, it turns on, but the lens only extends a tiny bit, and then the lens error comes up and it quickly turns off. This person had a similar lens error to yours and fixed it by grabbing and holding onto the lens barrel as it was attempting to reclose. Haven't hadthe same problemwith the next one ... [EDITED] BUTI now havea stuck pixel in the LCD ... Method #7 work for me...

I can use the zoom and it's markedly less but doesn't go no matter what I do to the camera. I have a Nikon Coolpix S7c. One possible thing may be that the battery has worn down through non-use, and can no longer holding a sufficient charge. Not wanting to go through the hassle with Fuji again I Googled for a fix and found this solution.
